Everybody wants to get on the Van Gogh boat. There's no trip so horrible that someone won't take it. The idea of the unrecognized genius slaving away in a garret is a deliciously foolish one. We must credit the life of Vincent Van Gogh for really sending this myth into orbit. How many pictures did he sell? One? He couldn't give them away. We are so ashamed of his life that the rest of art history will be retribution for Van Gogh's neglect. No one wants to be part of a generation that ignores another Van Gogh.

Hello! Big Sunday here at NBC Sports. Andrea Joyce is our sportscaster and what a CLASS ACT! She is terrific! I just ate a ton of BBQ Ribs (beef) and some yellow rice and salad. HEARTBURN CITY IS ON IT'S WAY! I feel like I have two red bricks in my belly.

Hello! Happy Saturday! It's a hot summer day and I'm eating free food thanks to NBC Sports. I just ate some potato salad, fruit salad, and macaroni salad. I also had a roast beef sandwich and italian sub (part of it).
Last night I sang 'It's Raining Men' kareoke-style to a crowd of 2,000 plus at the St. Ann's fest in Hoboken. Thanks to Jonny for taping it (it will be on the site soon). Also big thanks to Bruce Cherry (the man, the myth, the legend), Donna "Ledfoot" C, Rene "Smoking in the car" Rizzo and Jessica' Danceline' B... for coming to see me. I hope you all had a good time.

Last night our softball team from Comedy Central's Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn defeated Late Night With Conan O'Brien 16-15. It was a happy/sad night for me since at times, I sort of work for both.
Highlights of the night:
TC'S Chris McShane (MVP OF THE NIGHT) snagging ball at shortstop and hitting up a storm.
TC'S Glenn Clements - another guy who hit really well.
TC'S Jackie Cohen and her toughness at second base.
TC'S Adam Cole Kelly/Jason Hsaio knocking some balls around the park.
CONAN'S Jason Chillemi's grandslam was stunning.
CONAN'S Peter Shagrue -one mean hitting machine.
CONAN'S Janine Michael went one for three and her hit was a big one!
I went 2 for 4 with two girlie singles. I didn't play defense because we had enough players.
Overall it was a great game. Both teams did good!

Today I was part of a TV pilot show that is sort of the American Idol for Sportscasters. Sportscasters you say? YES!, I WAS AN ACTUAL CONTESTANT. I didn't make it past the first round (loser) but the staff there was really nice to me and put me on camera alot (YES, THAT IS WHY I WENT). Some cool other people there trying out (met a nice guy from Queens and one from Georgia) and some mean frat guys were there too.

Ate a grilled cheese sandwich for lunch with Chocolate milk. Am I the only person who likes to dunk his grilled cheese into a glass of chocolate milk? THE TASTE IS AMAZING!

(AP) - Celia Cruz, who went from singing in Havana nightclubs to become the "Queen of Salsa," died Wednesday, her publicist said. Cruz, who was 77, died of a brain tumor. She had surgery for the ailment in December but her health faltered. She died at her home in Fort Lee, N.J
I met Ms. Cruz last year at the Telemundo 2003 Fall Preview. She was an incredible person and was just stunning during her performance. I feel lucky to have seen her live! I remeber one thing she said to me while walking her to the stage, "You are a doll face, you have a doll's face."

The first one was called, "BACON, THAT GIRL SHE EATS BACON" and the other one was, "LUCILE, I LOVE YOU." I hope to have parts of it edited and put on this site. Big day, Big day! Cloudy here in NYC. I just ate a bagel with cream cheese and an ice coffee. Craving watermelon right now for some unknown reason.

I can't eat lobster. I was at Hampton Beach, NH when I was like 11 and my parents took me to a fancy restaurant and I had lobster and got really really sick. That night I also ate a devil dog and drank grapefruit juice.

Happy Sunday! What a day! What a day to spend 7 and a half hours on a bus. WOWIE, WOW, WOW. Lotta time on the bus today for WADE (me).

My brother Matt had his own personal CELEBRITY SIGHTING.
ACTUALLY HE HAD 2 IN ONE DAY!!!!!
And in New Hampshire... that is a major miracle in itself.
First he saw Adam Sandler in Manchester in a convenient store buying an Ice Tea (my brother bought a root beer soda- fyi). My brother acted like it was no big deal, but thought it was nice that Sandler gave a bunch of little kids in the store his autograph.
Second, he saw the lead singer of THE B52s at a bar in Hampton Beach, NH. He said he was very nice. My brother tried to pay him a compliment by having the DJ at the bar play 'Love Shack."

Good day! Or is it? I'm doing great today. I took a long walk (about 2 miles) - though midway through I stopped for a BIG ONE ICED! Dunkin Donuts Coffee (milk and sugar). I bought a new pair of workout shorts like my cousin Greg has (basketball shorts) and some Adidas jump pants with zippers. I know that doesn't count FOR ACTUALLY WORKING OUT, BUT....
WHAT WADE IS EATING:

Tonight I had a brownie sundae and I am feeling extemely guilty. It was terrific but what about the WADE DIET?!?!? What about looking good for the ladies? What about looking good for... WADE? Don't expect Citizen Kane, but expect something of a smaller scale and smaller value (now that's how to sell youself, right?).

Sidestory:This morning I had to take the NJ Transit bus into the city at 6am. I was very tired and there was just me, the driver, and this older man with headphones. The older man must have lived in Jersey along time ago because he kept yelling and I mean YELLING at 6am to the busdriver, "What happened to the Tootsie Roll Factory? " "What happened to Aunt Bee Bee's? She used to make the best malts." "Did you know Rosa's Sister?" Rosa who, man? The poor bus driver replied, "I just moved here from Aruba."

BREAKING NEWS (sorta):
I shot the stuff for my Hoboken project today. And well, it's not 'Titanic' folks. But what I plan on doing is making 1 to 3 minute movie shorts based on essays (mini Hoboken stories) that will accompany the footage.
I will then put them on the web, exclusively on ADAMWADE.COM
I know, perhaps this is not a big deal... but, I had 30 people hit this site today and well.. if 5 of them watch my movies on the web, that's good stuff (35 viewers of the movie in one week - according to my calculations). A little ripple in this huge world. I WILL HAVE ACCOMPLISHED MY GOAL! ****

Big Tuesday night, big. Just ate some pancakes, now ready to work. It's a sunny day in NYC. SUMMER TIME! SUMMA TIME!
Been working on a 10 minute story - a high school epic. It transcends my high school experience, breaking free and slowly becoming an adult. All in 10 minutes? Hey, it's a work in progress. I don't know if it will necessarily be funny funny, but it's real fresh! (real Wade).
