The bagel I am eating must have been made last Wednesday or Thursday.
The coffee is good though today. Not piping hot, but better than last week.
Yes, I am drinking coffee, BUT just a small and I gotta treat myself, I'm here at work at 8am. Bravo Me!
(PS I gave a $1 tip today at Dunkin's, the guy in front of me was giving the girl a hard time, and she is always very nice to everybody. Hope your days gets better Maureena.)
Listening to Stern this morning and also talked to some folks yesterday at NBC about Johnny Carson. A lot of people liked him, but a lot of people also thought he was a dick. I was surprised about the 'dick' part.

Dan Marino once again picked the Steelers over the Pats this week. Last week he had the Colts over the Pats. I can only hope Dan picks the Eagles to win the Super Bowl!

Well... it was the first corn muffin that I've had in a long long time.
I got it from the Dunkin Donuts/Blimpee's on 42nd and 9th. Another place I haven't been to in a while. And I don't want to bore you with my complaints but the small coffee with milk that I ordered was not very hot! It was luke warm coffee and it's very cold out. What's up with that? I'm getting very bitter lately I guess. Overall the muffin was fresh and stuff, and the service was excellent, but... come on, I'm paying a buck something for coffee, it's freezing out... MAKE ME A HOT COFFEE, OKAY!
(I just realized I could've just microwaved the coffee.)

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - The broadcast networks haven't had much recent success with comedy series because they're spending too much time "watering down" their shows for the audience and trying to "rip off" the competition, Comedy Central president Doug Herzog told an industry crowd Tuesday.
"Comedy is really hard," said Herzog, the featured speaker at the Industry Forum Luncheon series at the Museum of Television & Radio in Beverly Hills. "The process (of creating a comedy series) is broken at the networks a little bit. ... You have to know comedy. (At Comedy Central), if it makes us laugh, we'll take a chance on it."
Herzog -- who's responsible for such Comedy Central hits as "South Park" and "The Daily Show" -- also said that the cable network's late-night series "Tough Crowd With Colin Quinn" isn't necessarily off the air permanently.
"It's resting," he quipped. "We're contemplating bringing it back. There's a lot of value in what Colin built."
He added that if "Tough Crowd" were to return to the network's schedule, it might be a retooled version, with Quinn likely involved in the series but not necessarily as the host.

For the second straight day I got a tomato and cheese omlette.
It was very good, don't get me wrong.
But yesterday they charged me $2.54
TODAY they charged me $7.77
I didn't understand this.
The guy told me - "Yesterday you didn't get home fries and toast."
I retorted, "You just told me two minutes ago it was the same price."
He shook his head and said, "No I didn't."
I shook my head and said, "I'm giving you $2.54, forget the fries and toast."
He shook his head, "Give me $7.77."
I handed over the money (I was hungry), "This is my last meal at THE BREAD FACTORY!"
And I ate that tomato omlette with toast and homefries and I walked outta there with my head up high!

WADE EXCLUSIVE-WADE'S NEW DRINK OF CHOICE:
I had a conversation with my friend Barry, here at NBC Sports, I have decided to start drinking GREEN TEA!
Yes, this begins a new era on this blog. I am not, I repeat NOT giving up on coffee, but I am going to drink less of it.
GREEN TEA tastes lousy, but I am willing to drink it if it makes me healthy.
So today is GREEN TEA: DAY ONE!

THE MOTHER OF ALL ITALIAN TUNAS
Look at it! Isn't it beautiful.
I'm sorry to say that this will be my last Italian Tuna sandwich from Fiore's for a few months since I will be working Fridays the next 6-8 weeks.
I will miss you. Italian Tuna. You are my favorite sandwich... ever. I always, always look forward to you and you are the main reason I live in Hoboken, NJ. It's all because of you.
We'll be together again some day.

DELI MAN BLUES!:
I got a chicken sandwich today at this deli that I had been to a couple months ago.
I got into some quality small talk with the deli guy.
I sorta said, "This is a great sandwich, (as he was making it) I had it a few months ago."
As I said this I wondered to myself ... 'Adam, why haven't you been back?'
I grabbed my wallet and he said, "Make sure to tell your friends that this is the place to come for... great sandwiches."
"Oh, I will." I gushed.
Then he said, "That'll be nine dollars." [FYI- I didn't get a drink, cookie or chips, JUST THE SANDWICH]
[Now it hit me, why I hadn't been back. Yes, a good sandwich but... a great sandwich? If it was in the $5 range, maybe]

DAN MARINO HAS A BAD COLD!
Yep. That's the good word. I worked at CBS SPORTS today for the NFL football playoffs and my 'friend'/co-worker DAN MARINO still had a bad cold (3 full weeks). I told him to drink some GATORADE, that might help. I don't know if he heard me. Dan is a cool guy, even when he's got a bad cold.
