REST IN PEACE, TOM WADE FROM NBC NEW YORK
I was an NBC PAGE in 1999-2000 and continued to work at 30 Rockefeller Plaza until 2005. During that time I was lucky enough to know, TOM WADE.
Yes though not related, we both had the same last name and we would always address each other as... "Mr. Wade." He always made me feel important.
Tom did many different jobs at NBC, but we never talked about work when I'd see him in the elevator or in the hallways. We always seemed to talk about the weather.
I would always say "Boy, it looks like snow." And he'd laugh and pretend he was scared. "Don't say the 's' word." He'd always respond. Tom really hated the snow.
I know Tom will be missed dearly at NBC. He was 'one of those guys who made the world a better place' at NBC.
