MONDAY RUNAROUND/CARLIN RIP

Comedy Legend George Calin passed away today, and instead of writing about his important impact on comedy (click here for some of that), I'd like to just share a memory I have of him.
Less than four years ago, when I worked on 'Tough Crowd With Colin Quinn' Mr. Carlin was on the show as a guest. I was asked to get him a bottle of Diet 7up at the deli next to the studio. I brought it into his dressing room and he thanked me and asked me what I did on the show. It was a one minute conversation at the most, but the fact he cared and seemed so genuine made a lasting impression on me.
Ten minutes later I was in the bathroom taking a leak, when he came in followed shortly after by Colin. Colin being the class act he is, introduced me to his idol. Mr. Carlin told him, "Oh, Adam, him and I go way back. Isn't that right, Adam?" I smiled, Colin laughed and shook his head.
