February 28, 2003

I apologize for not being here yesterday, My internet connect is still not working from my apartment. two guys from Cable Vision came today to fix it and couldn't. They were nice guys, but... they couldn't fix it.

I am sad and I have a little cold and just ate a little soup today (chicken noodle)

I apologize to my 7 fans for not being able to make your day with my dullness of saying how cold it is and about the great food (free or not) that I have stuffed my face with on a regular. by the way, it is frigging cold again. My nose is running (enough info on that subject). Be well my beloved fan base and I will share more with you tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!

CELEBRITY SIGHTING:
KAREN DUFFY - early 90's MTV VJ,
and did the commercials for Revlon's 'CHARLIE' perfume.
talking some guy (not a model) on 5th Ave and 8th Street last night.
SHE LOOKED GREAT!

|

Okay, Okay Okay!
It's been 3 days since I've been on the site. My apologizes. My home internet connection is screwed up. I am not very happy with Cablevision right now. Monday, I spent 3 hours on the phone with them to no avail (it ended up never working/connecting). VERY FRUSTRATING!

Besides that, last night I had show at ACME Underground last night and it went well ( I guess). I am honing on the stories! I should be performing again in the middle of March (hopefully sooner).

Have a great day! Thanks for checking in.

FOLKS, BIG NEWS!
Last night I bought a hard (not cushy) toilet seat at KMART @ PENN STATION NYC.
$7.59, off-white and just.... just a nice toilet seat.

|

February 22, 2003

|

The past 5 or 6 post all dealt with KMART!

|

Damn, I forgot to ask the price range (or if they have the cushy ones).

|

YES! THE KMART ON 34th Street in NYC has toilet seats and a hell of a lotta additude!

|

I've hung up and redialed.

|

K STANDS FOR KRAP!

|

10 minutes later... still no answer.
KMART SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

|

Strange but true:
I have been spending the past 20 minutes on the phone, on hold waiting for the people at the KMART on 34th (Penn Station) to let me know if they HAVE TOILET SEATS THERE. ALL I NEED IS A "YES" or "NO." SO YOU GUYS HAVE TOILET SEATS OR WHAT?

|

This week's person(s) of the week?
It's these people who dress up as Star Wars Figures

You guy's seem to be having a good time. Good for you!

|

A rainy Saturday in NYC. Working for NBC Sports. Just ate a bagel.
A free one.
Last night I watched a great documentary (for the 50th time)
BOB DYLAN IN 'DON'T LOOK BACK'

Whether or not you're Bob Dylan fan I think you'll appreciate this doc.

Well, that's about it for now. Stay dry and have a good day.

Not as many people comng to the website today. But that's cool, no worries. You can't get 26 hits everyday (just so you know 26 hits is like a million hits to me and my ego).

|

Happy Tuesday! Celebrity sighting. Mr. Don Pardo, on the 14th floor of NBC telling a bunch of us that his birthday is this Saturday Feb 22. And that he's working (he's the voice of Saturday Night Live) that night. All of his kids are going to come to NYC to celebrate. Congrats Don. (this is a true email/no joke)

Today is warm (40 degrees) but we got a crapload of snow everywhere still. I had two eggs, bacon and toast at the Evergreen Dinner on 48th between 6th Ave and 7th Ave. Feeling a little heartburn right now. Shout out to John and Jackie at the Evergreen. Good people!!!!!!

|

February 18, 2003

I just double checked to see if one more person checked the website before midnight and...
NO! We're still stuck at '26.'

|

Okay, I was stuck in the apartment all day watching TV all day. Not productive in any means.

But I have a very positive statement - I HAD 26 PEOPLE VISIT THE SITE TODAY!
This is '1' short of tying the record for most visitors in a single day on the ADAMWADEBLOG website.

THANKS YOU, FOLKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

|

Man, I know I am all over the place today. I just watched Tom Browkaw and the NBC News. I feel my last couple of posts have been a little too selfish. If you are going to send out the 'good vibes' send them out to the safety of our brave troops. THEY DESERVE THEM A HELLAVALOT MORE THAN I DO. - PEACE!

|

Maybe my poem is a bit grade school. But I am just expressing my feelings.

It's my three chords and the God's honest truth. {minus the three chords of course}

My hope is that you can enjoy this poem and be motivated to send out good vibes to the
good people of the world that get your coffee for you, fix your broken photo-copier etc. Quiet people, but ones who make the world go round. We maybe lack snappy phrases or words, but WE KNOW WHAT'S GOING ON!
TREAT US RIGHT! LOOK AFTER US ONCE IN A WHILE. WE PROMISE TO DO THE SAME FOR YOU!

(My... that was deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep!)

|

Good Morning. It is still snowing here in NYC.
Here's a bad poem about luck and fate:

I try to be nice
I roll the dice
I need a little luck
I don't want to get hit by a truck
It's been a while since I had a date
Are you going to help me luck and fate?

Daddy wants me to get a real job
I am getting old and still a slob
It'd be nice to pay the rent
And have extra money to be saved or spent
Send out the good vibes
They're the only things right now that might get me by.

|

February 17, 2003

I just watched 'Dinner For Five' on IFC and was very impressed with Dave Eggers. Yes, I've heard of him and read about him. Now it's time to pick up one of his books.

I hope you had a great snow day!

Your friend,
Adam

ps
Hope you can come back tomorrow.

Yesterday I had 11 people visit this website! WADE IS BACK IN THE GAME!

|

February 11, 2003

Rob meant it as a compliment, in no means did he say that to hurt me. He was trying to be nice.

|

Comedian/Actor Rob Mess speaking about the Adam Wade Website/Blog last night at Calvin's REDROOM.

"Wow Wade, that is great. You have an average of eight people a day come to your website. I mean think about it, you don't promote for it. The fact that eight people a day visit is ...AMAZING. Wow. I mean eight people a day, 7 days a week that's almost 56 people."

|

Phil Spector - also snubbed by the Academy Awards Nominations.

|

Cold day in NYC!
Academy Awards Nominations came out today and PT ANDERSON was snubbed. PUNCH DRUNK LOVE... snubbed. SANDLER snubbed.

February 09, 2003

Who else hated the movie 'Donnie Darko'?
My friend Trevor told me it was cool, and I thought it was creative,
especially for a 26 year old first time director.

I didn't hate it but a couple people emailed me and said they thought it sucked.
I liked it, but I also liked 'Eddie and The Cruisers/'

Go figure!

Punch-Drunk Love was one of my favorite movies of '02.
PT ANDERSON IS AWESOME!
Am I crazy?

What a cool movie. One that keeps you thinking way after it is over! The acting is great and is not your typical teen movie crap!

Ted was Adam's first guitar instructor and is very good at the guitar. HAVE A GOOD WEEK, TED!

|

My co-workers at NBC Sports made my day today. They (Sal, Michelle, Anna and Katie) checked out the WADE website. I'm not saying they loved it, or understood it. But they checked it out.

The free food at sports consisted of grilled lemon chicken, bow-tie pasta and white sauce, salad and fruit salad. My co-worker Barry coughed all over the food and didn't cover his mouth.

|

SPECIAL NOTE:
In the past 15 hours the site has had... 1 visitor.

O-N-E!

|

WOW! It's like 50 degrees here in NYC today. It was a very busy weekend working for NBC Sports AFL coverage but I thought it went well. I hope so. I know most people are sick of football but this sort of small scale football reminds me of when I used to go to the Boys Club. We used to play baseball and street hockey and football in the Boys Club's boxed-in gym (four walls all around the court tightly) and I remember throwing balls off the wall and people catching them.

Only of course this game is played by professionals. PROFESSIONAL ARENA FOOTBALL PLAYERS!

|

February 02, 2003

Worked very very hard today for NBC Sports and the coverage of AFL (arena football).

Was in the same room with Dick Ebersol all day.

He didn't notice me.

BUT FOLKS, WADE GOT THE JOBBY DONE!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

|

February 01, 2003

It's been a busy day/week!
I have survived it and ready for the AFL (arena football league)
I will be the script person for the studio show tomorrow!

Check out NBC, all the guys in the studio, I feed them information!
(I hand them papers to read off of).

I AM IMPORTANT!
