I saw this little write up on IMDB.com and I thought it was really cool. With all the phoniness at the multiple award shows and the attention some of these people get... it is quite sickening. I found this quite refreshing and it's about my all time favorite actor. May we all be this graceful in old age.
NEWMAN TO STAY HOME!
Actor Paul Newman has made it clear he'll be staying away from next month's Tony Awards - despite being nominated for his efforts in Our Town. Newman was also one of the actors who pulled no-shows at the Oscars last month. Nominated for his gangster turn in Road To Perdition, Newman lost the supporting actor award to Adaptation star Chris Cooper. Newman notified the producers of the June 8 Tony awards of his decision by letter to Isabelle Stevenson, chairman of the American Theater Wing, co-presenters of the awards with the League Of The American Theaters And Producers. The actor reportedly stated that not only does he stay away from awards ceremonies nowadays, he no longer owns a tuxedo.
That's class!

Most people don't think that's a nice word. They don't think it's flattering.
Believe me when I say the word 'husky' I mean it in a very nice way.
WADE'S DEFINITION OF 'HUSKY'
Sweet, pure, healthy, cute, loving, happy, beautiful, genuine, sassy, feminine.
I realize these words aren't synonyms for 'husky' but they are in my heart.
So if WADE calls a lady 'husky' don't jump to conclusions. The poor guy is in love, let the boy be!
Let the boy be!
Husky waitress, you rock Wade's word!

MY dinner's hot
and so are you
Venus is a planet
and so is Neptune.
You got arms like pipes
and a heart of gold
You benchbress 220
even when you have a cold
Sweety, sweety, sweaty,
Why am I so shy
Toilet bowl cleaners
I'm not slick as turpentine.
So hey Miss Muffin
here's 20.95
The bill was 3 bucks
I wish your heart was mine
What else? I slept 10 hours last night. I haven't had anything to eat yet today. Blah!

Celebrity Wanna-beCiting:
Before the show I saw a young kid with Carrot Top' s hairdo. That's just wrong. I mean... WHY?
Another lousy rain-filled day is gone. I am going to hit the hay. Bought a cool CD entitled 'braver, newer world' by JIMMIE DALE GILMORE. It was made in 1996 and Jon Brion who did the score to 'Punch Drunk Love' worked on it. Country twang sounding, mix of Roy Orbison and Mild Rocking Neil Young (Harvest Moon).

the following is from the SCI FI WIRE WEBSITE:
9:00am ET, 13-May-03
Shanks Stars In Sumuru
Stargate SG-1 star Michael Shanks told SCI FI Wire that he plays space adventurer Adam Wade in Sumuru, a low-budget film based on Sax Rohmer's novel series. "Way off into the future, my character lands on a planet and expects to find the last remnants of Earth's civilization," Shanks said in an interview. "But he finds that, almost in a Planet of the Apes kind of way, the culture has completely rearranged itself."
Women are the dominant gender, while men work in the planet's mines and are used to propagate the species. "It's sort of that Amazon Women on the Moon concept, with action and whatnot," Shanks said. "So the character becomes, hopefully, the voice of the audience."
Shanks filmed Sumuru during his time away from Stargate and considered the job "a paid vacation" in South Africa. "We don't take ourselves too seriously, because we know that this is sketchy material at best," he said.

It's a 50 50 chance this is really Jeff Zucker, I mean it could be a hoax, some sick joke. But deep in my heart... I really think it's the real Jeff Zucker. (read it)
Wade,
I love you and check your blog website daily. You will be a creative force in TV some day, I stake my bulletproof reputation on it. I was so glad to see you working at the NBC UPFRONT Fall PREVIEW SHOW this past week. You complete me. I want to make a TV pilot for next year based on your website. Having a show about you is almost as great of an idea as 'Fear Factor.' Let's think, here. Would people rather watch a mid20's guy struggling to make it than watch hot Playboy models eating reindeer balls in tight tank-tops? YOU BET!
WADE, YOU ARE THE FUTURE. I know I went to Harvard and you went to some sh*tkicker school in New Hampshire, but who cares, you got what it takes. Call me! Call me anytime. I WANT TO MAKE YOU A STAR!
OXOXOXOXOXOXOX,
JEFF ZUCKER HIMSELF

Grammy Winner June Carter Cash Dies at 73
May 15, 7:26 PM EST
June Carter Cash, the Grammy-winning scion of one of country music's pioneering families and the wife of country giant Johnny Cash, died Thursday of complications from heart surgery. She was 73.
She died at a hospital with her husband of 35 years and family members at her bedside, manager Lou Robin said. She had been critically ill after May 7 surgery to replace a heart valve.
A singer, songwriter, musician, actress and author, June Carter Cash performed with her husband on record and on stage, doing songs like "Jackson" and "If I Were a Carpenter," which won Grammy awards in 1967 and 1970, respectively. Their duets included "It Ain't Me Babe" in 1964 and "If I Had a Hammer" in 1972.
She was co-writer of her husband's 1963 hit "Ring of Fire," which was about falling in love with Cash. In his 1997 autobiography, Johnny Cash described how his wife stuck with him through his years of amphetamine abuse.

Today, Tony Bennet, singer, old buck, mumbling to himself walking by me at the Essex House Hotel on 59th Street and his hairpiece was all messed up. I believe he left his mind in San Francisco this fine Spring day!
I sound so hateful because I said, "Yo! Tony!" And he didn't even bother to look up at me. That made me sad.....

Jonny was the person to introduce me to Fred Facey. After that, every time I saw this legend at NBC he'd smile and say "Hi, Adam." Just a nice guy. I will miss you Fred!
We report with deep sadness the passing of long-time announcer and the voice of MethodShop.com, Fred Facey, on Sunday, April 13th. You might have heard Fred's warm familiar voice on shows such as Today, Meet The Press, The News with Brian Williams, and billboards for Carson Daly and SNL. A kind and gentle man with a wonderful sense of humor and a smooth sense of style, Fred was a true master at his craft. To say he will be greatly missed is an understatement. His memory will always remain close to our hearts. We'll miss you Mr. Facey.
Sal, from NBC Sports.
Sal just came up to me and said, "Wade, you're doing a great job."
He wasn't saying it to be funny, or be a wise guy. HE MEANT IT.
YEAH SAL! BRAVO! YOU ARE DOING A HELL OF A JOB YOURSELF!
The 'Tonight Show's' Jay Leno is in the studio beside me right now warming up for his gig tomorrow on the TODAY SHOW.
He is a nice guy but everybody is laughing at everything he says. EVERYTHING! "Can I have a tissue?" MEGA-LAUGHS ENSUE.
WADE DOESN'T UNDERSTAND THAT!
I just called my mom to wish her a happy mothers' day.
I ate at Boston Market last night in Hoboken. Great Restaurant! I had to wait ten minutes for my chicken but THEY GAVE ME A FREE LEMONADE. WOW! WHAT LUCK!
Watched the movie - 'THE GOOD GIRL' It was a pretty good movie. Jennifer Aniston showed her range, sort of. It was a chick flick, but at least I watched it with a chick (a lady).

So yesterday I worked my tail off for the NBC FALL PREVIEW -that's going to be happening Monday at the NY MET. I am working for some really terrific people that always thank me! I appreciate that! BOB, MARY, SANDY, DIANE, JOANN - thanks for keeping me in the loop of things!
CELEBRITY SIGHTING - NBC ENTERTAINMENT PRESIDENT -Jeff Zucker by the elevator right after a big graphics meeting. He looked right at me and said, "How are you?" I said, "Good, how are you?" Zuck said, "Great! (By the way you're doing a great job helping out)." Then I said, "Best of luck this week." Then he said, "Thanks, so long." Then I waved him good-bye.

will give the big low down of today, tomorrow. Lastly, thanks to Nicole who last night said it was okay to tell girls that I am 'in with the people at the nbc commissary.'
May 08, 2003
Working the NBC FALL PREVIEW SHOW. I am working in a hotel on Central Park South. That where the TV Production offices are.
CELEBRITY SIGHTING: The coolest sighting yet. Al Brooks in an elevator at the hotel today. He was doing interviews stuff for his new movie with Michael Douglas. He smiled, he's a big chubbier that I would have thought. AND HE SMELLED LIKE DONUTS! But overall he seemed like a pretty nice guy. Funny, I didn't say anything but, 'Hey-yeah-up.' He looked at me for a moment and then got out of the elevator.
Oh Wade, you dawg! (yes, I am talking to myself).
I just bought his DVD 'Lost n America' a few months back and really really liked it.
He was also on Howard Stern's E! Show way back - 9 years or so and was really funny. He was a co-guest with some stripper or something.

BREAKING NEWS ON THE ADAM WADE DIET:
Today at Comedy Central's free lunch, my boss Jessica caught me going up for seconds (for dessert). I was grabbing my... (I am so embarrassed) 4th and 5th cookie. She looked at me and said, "Boy, for a little guy, you sure eat a lot of cookies." I admit it, I HAVEN'T BEEN STICKING TO MY DIET (and I haven't done any pushups today, either). I am failing bad!!!!!

WADE has been playing the bball courts all over New Jersey as of late and now... talk is getting around.
Wade is not totally happy with what ESPN says about him, but here's complete NBA DRAFT NEWS ON a WADE.
Wade
College: Marquette (in Jersey)
Class: Junior | Position: Guard | Ht: 6-4 | Wt: 210
2002-03 Stats: 21.5 ppg | 6.3 rpg
Andy Katz's take: Wade became one of the best scoring guards in college basketball this past season. Scouts see him as a true two-guard and a likely mid-lottery selection. Wade also showed leadership skills and his versatility as a scorer for Marquette. The one knock from scouts: They're not sure how well Wade can put the ball on the floor.
Draft Projection: Mid-lottery.
Still a bit depressed about the Old Man of The Mountain and wrestling's Miss Elizabeth.
That's about it for now.

I am losing the gut, even though I've been binge drinking.
Wade, am I going to be receiving an email every time a fanclub member posts? If so, can I change that?
Anyway, I am going to hit either the May 16 or May 24 show. Peace, up east.

By accident an email leaked out to EVERYONE that is a member.
This was the email:
From: John Weston
Hey Wade stud!
It was great seeing you in New York!
I'll write you soon!
Spanks
____________________________
I feel that I should explain the email. John is one of my dearest friends from college in New Hampshire whom I hadn't seen in almost five years. Two weeks ago we saw each other at a performance at the Actor's Studio of our friend Denise.
My nickname in college was ironically enough... 'WADE STUD!'
John's nickname in college was 'SPANKY.'
So now you can see that there's no subtext to this email. So the 'Stud' and 'Spanks' those are just nicknames and nothing more.
Okay?

Ex-Wrestling Star 'Miss Elizabeth' Dies
The Associated Press
Friday, May 2, 2003; 7:27 AM
MARIETTA, Ga. - Elizabeth A. Hulette, a wrestling personality who was known to fans as "Miss Elizabeth," died Thursday. She was 42. Cobb County authorities planned an autopsy to determine the cause.
Emergency personnel responding to a 911 call found Hulette at the home of former pro wrestler Lawrence Pfohl, also known as "Lex Luger." Hulette had been living with Pfohl.
Pfohl was taken into custody on unrelated drug charges and was released on bond early Friday.
Hulette was married to former wrestler Randy "The Macho Man" Savage, and was his manager before they divorced in 1992. She and Savage became popular personalities in the World Wrestling Federation, which they entered in 1985.
_____________________
Miss Elizabeth was my first love. She was something! When she married the 'Macho Man' in the early 1990s it brought tears to my eyes. She broke my heart. I was unaware she was seeing THE TOTAL PACKAGE Lex Luger.
And for all wrestling fans and visitors to this site: Which wrestler hails from COBB COUNTY GEORGIA ????(the answer is very ironic if you look at the situation Lex Luger is in right now.!!!!!)

|I apologize to my 7 fans for not posting anything yesterday. I was working at the INDEPENDENT FILM CHANNEL'S 'ESCAPE FROM HOLLYWOOD' SHOW. I got to meet John Cameron Mitchell, indie star/writer/director and host of the show. I was supposed to be featured in a segment in the background in a women's wig (which would have been my IFC debut), but Mitchell nixed this and broke my heart. He was very nice though, besides suffocating my indie film career before it even began. He was a very petite man who wouldn't fake laugh when they told him to. I respect the guy for that. Very 'real' guy. Best of luck, JCM.
It was a 13 hour day and that's why I didn't post anything yesterday. Also, I went boozing last night (2 and half beers - Natural Light Beer - no joke).

If you want to improve your looks folks, NO PAIN NO GAIN.
Anybody out there have one of the thick paded neckbraces? I might need it -just for one day.
