WADE QUESTION OF THE DAY
WHAT MOVIE IS THIS FROM?

"Everybody wants to get on the Van Gogh boat. There's no trip so horrible that someone won't take it. The idea of the unrecognized genius slaving away in a garret is a deliciously foolish one. We must credit the life of Vincent Van Gogh for really sending this myth into orbit. How many pictures did he sell? One? He couldn't give them away. We are so ashamed of his life that the rest of art history will be retribution for Van Gogh's neglect. No one wants to be part of a generation that ignores another Van Gogh."

ADAM WADE GETS ANOTHER FAN EMAIL, FROM ANOTHER... ADAM WADE

hello. I was just browsing the web and came across you web site. I

Today at NBC Sports with JIMMY ROBERTS!

Hot dogs and burgers for lunch. FREE!

I just ate one baby brownie. NICE!

And an 'A and W' Root beer!

Life is good.

I just overheard that Jimmy Roberts is wearing a NEW sweater-vest today!

My webmaster Jonny updated my home site today adamwade.com

Watched Hedwig and the Angry Inch last evening.

It was very creative and I enjoyed it. I actually worked with John Cameron Mitchell (star/writer/director), on an IFCTV project last year and he was really cool.

I just asked my co-worker Barry if he'd seen it and he said, "NO." He's a big 'Magnum PI' fan. Hedwig isn't his cup of tea.

I LOVE PENGUINS!

WHAT HAPPENED TO FRIDAY, WADE?

Yesterday I was busy (WADE WORKS HARD) and also did not have access to a computer.

If you came and visited I'm sorry!

BUT I'M BACK!!!

WHAT DID YOU DO YESTERDAY?
I cleaned up Chez WADE, did some writing, worked out (treadmill 35 minutes at 4.1 mph). Ate spicy Cuban food for dinner (I will not be doing that again for a while). I made... YES made Chocolate Chip Cookies!!! They came out really good. (I bought the cookie dough at the store, cut them up and put the dough in the WADE toaster oven.)

FRIDAY NIGHT TIME:
Hit my favoirte bar last night and talked to Tera
and
her brother John. Very nice people. John is a big film guy, we got to talk movies and sports. Sir Walter and Lady Diana were there representing. Some blonde haired girl kept calling me 'Steve' - NO JOKE!

I've been called 'ANDY' 'Angelo' but 'STEVE'? That was a first.

FREE FOOD, YES (still no free juice):
I ate a ham and cheese sandwich on a sweet roll today.

No juice today, but I did buy a cup of coffee on the street for 50 cents. It was pretty good. The bread on the sandwich however was NOT as fresh as it usually is.

Keep in mind I am not complaining.

|

WADE WAS ON TV LAST NIGHT: NO JOKE!

Yes, I was on Tough Crowd With Colin Quinn last night.

There was a brief moment where Colin dressed up as Al Franken and re-enacted a (Franken's) bodyslam of a heckler at a Howard Dean Rally in New Hampshire.

I was one of the people standing next to the heckler (played by Adam Cole Kelly - he did a great job).

So you can see the back of my head for about 7 seconds (32 seconds in VHS SLOW MOTION), and then my Oscar Performance reaction to the body slam (3 seconds real time or 12 seconds on VHS SLOW MOTION).

Colin has not yet complimented my acting chops. But that's okay, I know he will come to his senses soon and say something like, "WADE, YOU ARE THE GREATEST! YOU ARE THE GREATEST!"

WADE PERFORMS TO 3:

After performing to 4 people on Tuesday night. I did a show last night in Hoboken for 3 people. Thanks Tracy, Beth, and Ed S (Mike).

Humility!

WADE IS FEELING WORN DOWN:

Yes, I am a bit tired. I am trying to pace myself, but still work hard and do a good job. The craft service table here at work has that 'EMERGEN-C' stuff - you mix it with water and it gives you a ton of vitamins. Has anybody out there heard of this stuff????

I am reluctant to take it, but the nice craft service lady said it should be fine. I need a little boost. BUT A HEALTHY BOOST! THAT I DON'T HAVE TO PAY FOR! This might do the trick.

DOES WADE EVER STOP?:

I am filming this thing tonight that will be in an ART SHOW IN BERLINGTON, VERMONT this March. (more details soon)

|

TACO DAY AT WORK!
Forget the lose of free juice, today we had TACOS!

THE TACOS WERE AWESOME!

I am happy!

Caliente!

"""THE 80s versus the 90s. FASHION FIGHTS"""

Speaking of 'hot'... 'hot air' that is my good buddy Jeremy T. is throwing the verbal tacos around like they're going out of style.

VERBAL TACO= stupid comebacks that just... well... don't make any sense.

Jeremy said I looked like an Eddie Vedder grunge wanna-be today. Those are fighting words.

Jeremy is a good guy, but 1980, it wants its dresscode back
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOA! Flocking Seagulls wants it wardrobe back now, duuuuuuude.

Fighting words!

|

I didn't know this but Monday we had 97 visitors to this site. Yet, another record breaker. My hope is to someday break 100! And that could happen soon.

EXCITEMENT:
I will getting a new computer sooner than later.

JUICE SITUATION:
I spent $1.39 for apple juice today, because my workplace just buys Cokes and a whole lotta milk!!!! I have no problem with it. I am just happy to be working. I work with nice people who give me free lunch.

Just not free juice.

I would move on from this, but.... I LOVE FREE JUICE! It's killing me!

BIG SUNDAY AT NBC SPORTS!

Just ate a grilled cheese with tomato and bacon. FREE AND DELICIOUS!

Last night was a wild one for WADE!

Went to a play with my friend Heather. The acting was "interesting". SHOUT SHOUT SHOUT SHOUT! Lotta shouting!

Then around 12:30 am I met my buddies Ed, Ed Jr., Jonny, and Moran in Hoboken and drank 3 Sprites!!!! (I got a little head cold - I'm watching myself).

Around 1:30am I was ready... I was ready to help tend bar ay my favorite Hoboken Bar. I put on an apron and...

I put a bunch of napkins down for people to put their drinks on. I gave a few girls those cherries they put in drinks. I learned how to light up a match from a matchbook with on hand (like a finger snap) --- I BURNT MY THUMB (it still smells like sulfur). I met this cool guy Dennis and 4 LOVELY ladies and they really helped me learn the match trick. I lit up a few girls cigarettes. I was living life to the fullest.

Then I bussed a couple tables (collected empties), and flipped around some straws. I FELT LIKE TOM CRUISE IN COCKTAIL! The women in the bar couldn't keep their eyes of TOM JUNIOR (me).

When I decided it was time to leave... I got a huge ovation. Then I realized it wasn't for me, but for Sir Walter, yes, the Hoboken Icon had just entered the bar, with Big Joey and the beauties from the Jersey Shore.

Last night was a good night.

WADE'S WEEKEND = FRIDAY!

Yes, it's Friday, my day off (my weekend). I have to work at NBC SPORTS doing scripts Saturday and Sunday.

I just had a great lunch with my friend, Jersey Legend, TEDDY COLUCA at Piccolo's Steakhouse/Sandwich Palace. Teddy has been on Conan O'Brien a bunch of times and will be on Larry David's 'Curb You Enthusiasm' this year as well. WHAT A CLASS ACT!

We always have a few laughs and talk about the biz.

After getting steak sandwiches we headed over to Antiques Bakery and grabbed a couple of Manhattan Special Coffee Sodas.

LIFE IS GOOD!
Thanks Teddy.

Now I gotta get things done.
To quote my boss at Comedy Central,

HAPPY BIG TUESDAY!
Just ate free lunch (turkey sandwich) at work. They may have taken away the free apple juice, but NOT the free lunch.

It's still cold. I hope my pipes don't break. I keep having dreams of my basement apartment getting flooded.

MY DAD IS VERY EXCITED ABOUT THE PATRIOTS! We talk alot lately about what a great team they are. I DON'T LOVE talking about sports 24/7, but I do like talking about sports with my dad. He knows his stuff.

THE MOST VISITORS IN ONE DAY ON THIS SITE IS NOW 72!
****The old record was 67!

Thanks. It may seem mundane to most of you, but to me... it's good stuff.
I am on the road to 100 hits in one day! IT WILL HAPPEN IN 2004 - I have faith!

Just got back from performing at the EATING IT Luna show. I thought it went well.

Thanks to Nia, Lonny, Precious Paul, Sara(h) T., Jon F, Matt G. and Ellen for coming.(need I forget KJ, his roommate and his lady!)

Highlights of the show:
Preshow

I started talking to THE GREAT AUTHOR, Sarah Vowell (very cool lady). When I say talking, I mean saying "Hello..." Mr Todd Barry, himself, then approached us.

When Sarah asked, "Do you know HIM?" (HIM being me), Todd nodded. And his nod was like, "Sarah, this is a good guy, whatever his name is.... HE IS A GOOD GUY." Bravo Todd.

They went on to talk about Australia and the beauty of it. Was it a country? Was it a nation? The reefs, etc. Even in casual conversation you can tell Ms. Vowell is well-read. I, myself, casually started checking my notes, but then they said something about Conan O'Brien. I SO SO SO SO SO WANTED TO YELL, "HEY, I DRIVE HIS VAN... YES, THE VAN FOR HIS SHOW SOMETIMES!" But I held back, just kept looking at the old notes.

Highlights of the show PART 2:
I wore the WADE TEE SHIRT MY FAVORITE LADY IN THE WORLD MADE FOR ME!

And after my set, Todd Barry went up on stage and actually started talking about it.
With smooth 3 Ginger Ales in me, I was busy in the bathroom and MISSED IT (SHUCKS). I don't know if Todd liked the shirt or if it was against what he stands for in life, but nonetheless THE FACT TODD BARRY MENTIONED 'WADE' (this guy) ON STAGE IS AMAZING! IT'S PROBABLY THE BEST PUBLICITY I'VE EVER RECEIVED! WOWWIE WOW! And I think TB is great so... it really hit me hard when I found out. Thanks man!

Highlights of the show PART 3:
THE SARAH VOWELL walking by me at the end of the show saying, "You were real funny, tonight.:"

I kid you not I am a BIG fan of both these people (TB AND SV), this kind of attention was crazy. If it were the 1980's it would be like Billy Crystal and Danielle Steele chatting it up with me.

Highlights of the show PART 4:
My friends fighting over who would buy me a beer for the aftershow! Thanks everyone, and thanks to SWEET ELLEN THEUS for the beer!!!!!

-Tonight was a good night!

WADE DOES BROOKLYN LAST NIGHT!
Cool show last night in Brooklyn. Lot of funny ladies and men there at the show. Shout out to Jon Friedman for coming and BBBBBRUCE Cherry for showing up and doing a surprise set. I met a nice girl who went to UMASS Amhearst (home of the sinking library).

Getting back to Hoboken was real slow and crappy. IT WAS FREEZING AND I HAD TO SUBWAY IT DEEPER INTO BROOKLYN and then back into NYC... THEN TAKE THE PATH INTO JERSEY, THEN HAD TO CAB IT TO CHEZ WADE.

YAWN - still feeling the burn.

Just had eggs and pancakes at Diana's on Jefferson st. They forgot about my coffee (cue:sad music).

WADE RESPONDS TO COMMENTS MADE ON HIS SITE:

C'mon Wade, you were da MAN Saturday night (LAST SATURDAY)...even with your inexplicable mid-evening disappearance...

-Ed Shirak, Jr.

Dear Ed,

In reference to your comment about the inexplicable mid-evening disappearance. You saw me devour the pork chops and mash potatoes. And when nature called, I figured it was worth the three block walk back to my apartment.

When nature's course settled I made a phone call to my Grandmother and Aunt Arete and then I figured I'd return back to the festivities.

WHAT AN EXCITITNG FRIDAY NIGHT FOR WADE

I watched the movie MASH for the first time in a while. I really like that movie. Altman is a genius!

No, not the TV show, the MOVIE that inspired the TV show.

After the movie I nursed two beers for about 2 hours at my local bar. Talked to the regulars ABOUT THE FACT THAT I AM 5" 9'!!!! THEY KEPT LAUGHING BUT IT'S TRUE. I AM NOT, I REPEAT NOT 5" 8''. Once my point was made and Springsteen's "Thunder Road" played for the 7th time in 2 hours I headed back home. Life doesn't get much more exciting than that.

WADE WORKS OUT HARD!

Treadmill folks. 45 minutes at 4.2 mph!!!!!!

There was a beautiful girl on the treadmill next to me.

She was going like 6.7 mph for like an hour.

WADE IN THE MIDDLE OF SOMETHING

Sunny, but cold day here in NYC. Trying to figure out some serious stuff right now.

Had a bagel with cream cheese and coffee from Dunkins.
That didn't help as much as I thought it would with this process of figuring things out.

Yes, I'm a bit serious today. Not all day, but for now.

Ran out of toilet paper in my apartment this morning for the first time in 4 years. Is that an Omen?

FREE FOOD AT WORK IS KILLING WADE'S DIET

The TV show I work for has free food all day. From 5pm-5:30pm it's like last call and they bring out all the goodies. Today I went crazy.

5 mini cheese things
2 mini sandwiches
1 cookie
1 mini brownie
2 mint lifesavers
1 can of Ginger Ale
16 (approx) peanuts
some vitamin packet that made me go to the bathroom
1 half of a Twix candy bar
4 strawberries

I got a problem. I did it so I wouldn't have to come home and eat again (ie spend money). My stomach is killing me.

WHY DOES WADE TIP A WAITER $1 for a coffee and a toasted corn muffin????

Because at this NYC dinner full of guys with suits, HE GIVES ME AN EXTRA COPY OF TODAY'S NEWSPAPER and NOT THEM! He makes me feel IMPORTANT! He (his name is Pablo) goes the extra yard, so I GO THE EXTRA YARD!

PABLO you are the ADAM WADE WAITER/WADER of the WEEK.

ACTUAL FAN LETTER/EMAIL I JUST RECEIVED (note: I know as of late I've been posting a lot more than I normally do. I hope the multiple posts entertain you, because I don't know how long I can do more than one a day.)

Once again, actual fan mail to me. I received this about an hour ago:

______________________

Dear Adam Wade

I also share your same name. The other day, just for fun, I decided to
see if my name had a domain posted on the internet. To my surprise I was
right!

Finding it rather funny, I laughed, because other than just having
similar names, mine also is said with the same repetition and enthusiasm as
yours.

"Adam Wade!"

Best of Luck,
Adam Wade

ODDS AND ENDS:

My friend John Ruane gave me the link to THE NEW YORKER ARTICLE ON THE GREAT LARRY DAVID. IT'S LONG BUT REALLY GOOD!

My friend Paul Sullivan, and fellow RedSox fan, is editing his movie FIRST TIME CALLER, the trailer on this site pretty funny.

BLAST FROM WADE'S PAST
Episode #1

What ever happened to Jen Horna (Jennifer Horner)?

(just so you know I never DATED this girl, I was JUST FRIENDS)

She went to college in New Hampshire with me. She was loud but a very sincere girl.

She "CRUSHED" me. What that means is... she was in a sorority and put a can of ORGANGE CRUSH soda by my door with an invite to her sorority CRUSH social my senior year. I didn't mean to stare at all the other hot sorority sisters there, HONEST! You used to wear those GREEK LETTERS with such pride!

I remember once I called you at your sorority and left this message "Hey, Horna, give me a call when you get off the crapper" It was a joke, just a joke, BABE!

Jen, I don't know what happened to you. We used to fight alot.... But we had some good laughs (sappy music), we'd we go wrong Horna? Do you still keep in contact with Donna Tupaj, Lisa Willey and Sue Smith?

Did you ever become that big Hollywood agent (cause I need one of those babe)?

Oh Jen...

|

WHAT DOES WADE DO FOR FUN?
My friend, John Meede, told me about 'Stealth Disco' which is the art of going up behind people at work and dancing disco style while someone else video-tapes them.

This is what I've been doing all week -sans someone videotaping me.

STEALTH DISCO IN ACTION

My coworker Nia said this will not catch on. I disagree.

WICKED WEDNESDAY!
WICKED COLD!

Working at Comedy Central today. They treat me very well. Looking forward to the free food for lunch (hope it's hot stove stuff). They did away with the free juice in the morning BUT I REFUSE TO COMPLAIN! Like I said, they treat me very well. I EAT LIKE A KING! I can always just go out and grab some cheap juice. You see in the morning I usually have OJ when I wake up and when I'd get into work I'd have a glass of apple juice. -

Wade and his free juice.

EVER WONDER WHAT WADE IS READING?

Very good book about the state independent movies.

Very good book about the state independent movies.

CELEBRITY SIGHTING:

Jeff Zucker of NBC Entertainment/News/BIG HEAD OF MAJOR TV NETWORK. Walking by me to check out Studio 3K this past Sunday. I wasn't working BUT I looked like I was working hard.

I said, "Hello."

He said, "Hi."

Acknowlegement is nice.

I yelled/whispered "AdamWade.blogspot.com, a great sitcom in the making."

|

January 12, 2004

IT FINALLY HAPPENED!

After 5 and a half years my VCR just crapped the bed.
Yes, in the middle of watching CURB YOU ENTHUSIASM it ate up the tape.
So I didn't get to see the rest of the episode.

Yes, I am quite sad at this juncture.

|

WADE RANT:

Roger Clemens is coming back. Yes, though he retired in October with much media he has 'spent time with his family this off-season' and now he wants to be back in baseball - signing with the Astros for $5 million for one season. He is the biggest jerk... ever! I wonder what the people who shot that documentary last year of his FINAL YEAR in baseball, are gonna do with all that useless footage? Maybe they can follow him again.

He needs more media attention than Britney Spears. He is a meglamaniac, meat head.

WADE WAS RIGHT! WADE WAS RIGHT!

I told a bunch of the guys (Yankee fans) at my local bar midseason last year that he'd be back. He needs the attention. Not all, but many said, "No. No. You're wrong. He's not coming back. He's got enough class to walk away from the game." Well... eat your words. You didn't grow-up watching this guy in Boston.

MY NEW PREDICTION:
Clemens will try (the word being 'TRY') his hardest to go into the Hall of Fame in an...

ASTROS UNIFORM!

|

Happy Monday!

Just had a bagel and Dunkin Donuts Coffee.
It was excellent - $2.23

Ready to work here today at Comedy Central.
Minor bummer - they don't have free apple juice, today.

|

I just got back from seeing Tim Burton's 'BIG FISH'

I'm not going to say it was the greatest movie ever, or the best I've seen in a while, but it was VERY ENJOYABLE! I ENJOYED IT! Very sweet, well made movie.

Wade did get teary eyed (and I've been battling dry eyes as of late).
DOUBLE - NO JOKE, THERE!

|

LAST NIGHT: MY BIG NIGHT ON THE TOWN IN HOBOKEN

Had pork chops at my favorite local bar/pub. EXCELLENT!

And watched a great game Pats/ Titans.

My 17-13 Pats win prediction was eerily accurate.

Most of the regulars were at the bar last night

Big Joey was representing, so was Rich (aka THE DUKE) - they forced me to have a So/co and lime shot. Sir Walter held court on the other end of the bar.

Ed Jr (aka Pat) was quite kind waiting for me to finish my pork chops before lighting up his cigarette and then buying me a beer.

Ed Sr (Mike) and Nikolai were there too with a bunch of ladies!

I talked to two girls -Kim and her friend. They were very nice girls.
Kim's earings were... amazing (discount rack at Banana Republic).

Just ate some strombolli! FREE! Salty!

Last night I had a show at Seton Hall University. Great CROWD!

Then I hit my favorite bar and it was my buddy John M.'s Bday!

Sir Walter was there in full effect. And of course Lady Diana,
who told me she'd made me banana pancakes soon. That made my night.

WHAT A DAY!

My co-worker Kim just offered to get me something at Starbucks. Man, I work with some considerate people!

Kim Gamble, the Adam Wade Person of the day.

WADE IS WORKING HARD TODAY.

It was a busy day. But I did manage to sneak a cupcake in about an hour ago. A vanilla on vanilla cupcake!!!!!

|

January 08, 2004

64!!!!!

|

My buddy Nickoli just woke me up. He didn't mean to, he wanted me to go get a drink. BUT WADE IS WORKING EARLY TOMORROW.

Anyway,
I jumped out of bad and turned my computer on... and... of course I checked how many visitors I currently have and...

63!

63 visitors in one day. A new record for this site and there's still a half hour left in the day/night.

I'm going back to bed. I am going to sleep well tonight folks (even though I ate microwave BOSTON MARKET TURKEY POT PIE and it was VERY HEAVY!!!!!).

BABY STEPS FOLKS!

BY NEXT YEAR WE'LL get a 100 in one day! Oh yeah... yeah.

|

CAN WADE SOUND LIKE A BABY IN ONE SENTENCE?

My new toilet seat is still very uncomfortable!

Wow I got 55 hits today and it's not even 8:45pm. WOW!
Looks to me I am going to SHATTER THE OLD RECORD (aka the current record for most hits/visitors in a day), and I won't be awake to see it. I gotta work early tomorrow!

Yawn!

|

THE QUOTE OF THE DAY IN WADE'S GYM

Today I did 40 minutes on the treadmill - 4.1 mph.
I headed over to do crunches. It was very crowded. A muscular, big woman in tight spandex was stretching on the mat next to me. I started to smell something. Her butt was about 6 inches from my face.

Then she yelled over to her 'boy' friend, "Hey Vinny, it smells like ass in here today."

|

WADE MESSES UP BIG TIME IN HUNT FOR THE PERFECT PANCAKE BREAKFAST

This morning I had a craving. A craving for BANANA PANCAKES. My friend Jess told me about them. Doughie pancakes with cooked bananas in them. It sounded good.

So today I went into a dinner and ordered some 'banana pancakes' and guess what I got?

Regular pancakes with a cut up banana on top of them.

"What is this?" I asked.

My waitress said, "You want the pancakes and banana what?"

"Huh?" I said.

(Loudly) "The pancakes and banana, WHAT? THAT's WHATTA YOU WANTA, HUH?"

(Long pause)

So I said, "Exactly, it looks great!" - trying not to get punched by the waitress.

"EEEdiots, eediots." She said as she walked away.

And I still gave her a 20 percent tip. That's how dumb/scared I was.

|

WADE DOES WADE THINK OF ROBERT DUVALL?

HE'S GOT MAJOR NADS!

Check out what he said about the director of E.T.

The other Bobby D (not De Niro speaks his mind)

Whoa!

|

January 07, 2004

COUSIN GREG VISITS WADE!

Guess who was in town tonight???
My cousin Greg. He came down from Boston, he had a conference for work here in the city and we hit
ESPN ZONENYC for some beer and food.

What did I have:
1 beer
2 waters
6 Buffalo wings
a big steak
a baked potato

and...

a cookie sundae thing. IT WAS SOOOOOOOOO AWESOME!

My stomach was like a drum. I thought I was going to pass out on the bus to Hoboken.
A girl on the bus aked me what was wrong, I said... "I ATE... A LOT!" She just turned and looked away.

GREG POULOS, you are a class act! THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

See you soon.

|

WADE WORKS HARD... on his body?

Hell yeah! I worked out early this morning at the gym. 25 minutes on the treadmill at 4.1 mph. It seemed to me it (the machine) was going at least 4.5 mph, but the machine read 4.1mph. Then I did a set of 12 crunches, then 8 crunchs and then 15!!!! Wow! Feel the burn. the ladies at the gym were checking out the gut! Oh yeah. It's true folks.

Then I went upstairs and worked my tricepts (my big muscles behind my arms). 3 sets of 8 on the tri- pull down at 30 pounds. My tri-s are so so tight!

Then it was over to the bench press machine. 50 pounds at 8 reps. 70 pounds at 8 reps. 60 pounds at...12 reps, yep.

WADE FEELS SO PUMPED UP HE'S READY TO RUMBLE... WADESTYLE!

|

HIGHLIGHT AND LETDOWN ALL IN ONE:

Call me pathetic but it was a great bid to almost surpass the most visitors in one day. GREAT! Unfortunately, we only got to 62 visitors, tying the record. Still 62 is alot of hits (30 in my mind used to be the bar). Well kudos, folks.

By Jan 5th, 2005 I swear I'll get 100 visitors in a day.

(a hush from the crowd)

Positive thinking friends.

A man can dream.

I gotta start reading a book or something. I'm getting to engrossed in... nothing.

Hey Hey Hey!
Just got back from Rodeo/Ristra in Hoboken. I did some new material tonight.

A story about 'Donuts and Pancakes' - a real love story if you follow the diet of WADE.

Right now the site has 61 visitors (1 less than the record per visitors in 24 hours).

The greatest quote made by Jim Rice was when sportscaster John Dennis asked why he was warming the bench in the twilight of his career, "Joe (Morgan, RedSox Manager at the time) don't think I can play no more. Deep down inside I say 'he don't know my ability."

Sweet Tuesday!
Very windy here in NYC. Getting things done today.

Getting ready for the big game Saturday - TITANS vs PATRIOTS.

CHANGE IS GOOD!

I just went to the supermarket with my change that I have laying around my apartment.

I put it in the COINSTAR MACHINE and ...
$18.04!!!!

I bought some groceries (handsoap, noodles, yogurt, oj/pineapple juice, paper towels, pita bread, tall garbage bags).

So I only had to pay 21 cents for my groceries today!

I find that fascinating.

|

WHAT'S WORSE?

1) Movie hunk Mark Wahlberg has a new lady in his life - Dark Angel actress Jessica Alba.... One onlooker says that New Years Eve, "They were sitting at the same table, ... sharing a bucket of champagne.... At the end of the night they got in a limo and left together."

2) Me, single male, reading this in my basement apartment.

3) Me, actually thinking, "What's he got, that I don't got?" (besides a basement apt)

4) Me saying to myself, "Hey, a waitress at a bar gave me a half-hearted hug when the New Years ball dropped. Take that!"
- you folks can decide

Rainy Mondays can't keep WADE down:

I'm working hard! Of course, got up early so I could get a quick haircut. Feeling better today. Good night's rest coffee and a bagel (light cream cheese).

Jack Nicholson ... "life is the great love of my life."

|

I just saw this on YAHOOnews. I just can't believe how someone like this needs so much constant attention - talk about HARDCORE media hungry... and why wasn't the guy WADE!

XXX Report: Britney Already Seeking Annulment XXX

LAS VEGAS - Pop star Britney Spears (news) marched down the aisle in Las Vegas, marrying a childhood friend from Louisiana, according to news reports. The 22-year-old singer married Jason Allen Alexander of Kentwood, La., early Saturday at the Little White Wedding Chapel on the Strip.

(note: putting this on my site is a lame effort to gain more hits to this site through a google search!!!!! Wade is the thinking man's Jason Allen Alexander)

|

WADE'S COLD CONTINUES:
I still feel lightheaded and I got a good night sleep. I still have A GREAT appetite so it can't be the flu. I just had a big breakfast at Diana's in Hoboken. Two eggs, over easy, bacon, toast and homefries and and and THREE CUPS OF COFFEE!!!! YEOW!

I just took some Tylenol. I have to go to work at NBC Sports in a little bit.

YES, in case you're wondering I missed the B STREET BAND last night. I just wasn't feeling it. Next time I will be THERE, honest.

It's raining here, lousy day. I am working for WADE right now, writing and playing the guitar.

|

Last night I saw a great Sean Penn movie.

21 Grams?

NO!

Colors
I haven't seen it in a long time and for me it was trip back down Memory Lane.

'WHAT?' you may ask, 'Wade used to live on the West Coast?' or 'Was Wade THE COOK in the movie under the sur-name Fred Asparagus???'

The answers are NO and NO!

I'm talking about Memory Lane (aka Lancelot Drive) - watching the movie in Robbie and Matt Herman's basement on a Friday night in 1990 back in New Hampshire. And then listening to some N.W.A. and getting pizza delivered from Domino's.

Ah... the good old days!
(tear)

|

IF you're in New Hampshire, THIS IS THE PLACE TO GET A GREAT ICE CREAM!

THE GOLDENROD!

Tell Rich and Ronnie that WADE says 'Hello'!

(note: The Goldenrod is not a male stripjoint... IT'S A CLASSY JOINT!)

|

WADE UNDER THE WEATHER!
I'm working at NBC Sports today with my buddy Barry. I went out last night and only had a BEER and TWO WATERS! But this morning I woke up was not up to par. Just ate some chicken cordon blue but still feeling light headed.

Sadly, if this continues I will NOT go to see the GREATEST BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN coverband THE B STREET BAND play tonight in Hoboken.

NEW TOILET UPDATE:

My new toilet seat is VERY uncomfortable! - NO JOKE!

January 02, 2004

DAY AFTER NEW YEARS/BACK TO BUSINESS
Hello, I am off today but keeping busy. I just had lunch with a friend.
I'm gonna rest for 20 minutes, clean up my room a bit and then... work out!!!!
I'm looking to go 30 minutes on the treadmill at 4.1 mph and then do 30 crunches.

I will get back to you and let you know how the workout went.

Watched a lot of college football and I've come to a conclusion... I couldn've played football in college. When I was a student, I was big and tough enough, honest. The only thing holding me back was the fact my college didn't have a football team. - no joke!

I could've been a grid-iron master.

HAPPY NEW YEARS! WADE WORKS HARD!

Yes, I'm working the first day of 2004!

A Great New Years Party was thrown last night by my friends Nick and Mike in Hoboken. Thanks for the invite guys. Good times! Appearing at the party - Sir Walter, Cousin John, Big Joey, Smiling Brian, Diana and Elisha. Jamie and the Jersey shore girls made it to the party. The nightcap was at my favorite bar in Hoboken, but it was really really packed and I headed home after New Years to get a solid 6 hours of sleep before coming to work today.
