WADE TALKS TO GIRL, SAY'S 'GOOD BYE!':
Yeah, I just got back from working out.
Treadmill 3.9 mph 30 minutes
Bench Press 3 sets 10 reps (80 lbs) - lame!
I think I pulled my neck again doing the old bench press.
A pretty girl that works at the gym checked me out twice while I was riding on the treadmill. As I left she checked me out again (what I mean by this is... she looked at me) I said, "Good Bye."
I am the biggest stud in Hoboken!!!!!

FREE LUNCH WAS SOOOO SOOO GOOD!:
Free lunch was pizza from John's (awesome pizza)
I had three slices (didn't eat the crusts), and alotta salad (the diet!)
Then we had our Director, Scott Preston 's birthday party Sundae Spectacular.
Happy birthday Scott.
Scott didn't eat his premade sundae with all the fixins and there was a long line to get to the ice cream... so... I asked him if I could have his. HE SAID, "Sure Wade!" What a class act. Bravo Scott. It was a terrific sundae.
I feel bloated, but I feel like a million bucks.

WADE GETS TO BE WARM UP COMEDIAN FOR KID'S SHOW!
Tonight, thanks to fate, and a great man named 'BOB' I got to be the warmup comedian for a MTV Kids' Pilot TV Show.
The audience consisted of 100 junior high kids.
Great experience!!!

I enjoyed it. Was it a bit overhyped? What isn't now adays?
The movie broke on the projector twice during the screening, kind of took me out of it. Plus I drank two beers before and kept having to go potty during the movie.

DISASTER DINNER -WADE STYLE!:
Tonight I did a show at Piano's on Ludlow Street. I had a great time, it was a fun show. I took the PATH train back to Jersey, and I just made the train. WHAT LUCK! Especially on a Sunday!!!!
Back in Hoboken, I picked up a grilled chicken salad at the PITA GRILL -WAY OVER-PRICED, but healthy! I ASKED FOR NO DRESSING (I bought my favorite... Wishbone Red Wine vinaigrette and had it home.. chilled, in my fridge.)
So I lay everything out, it's 10:15 pm, I'm starving and...
The salad dressing spews out (the whole g'damn thing) all into my salad.
Now, I've spent 10 buck for this, I could cry.
So I just... ate it like it was. Chicken salad soup.
I am sad right now.
OH BUT WAIT, WADE'S NOT DONE!:
I just got the nicest email I've received in months... from my cousin Cary in Connecticut. Thanks Cary, you made my night better and less sad and pathetic. You made me smile!

The girls at Dunkin donuts didn't laugh at me today when I tried to order an ice coffee and had trouble with my pronunciation because I was somewht sleepwalking (a half an hour ago). No! That could not be!

WADE ROCKS WAL-MART!:
Yes, I made my yearly trip to a WAL-MART today. I bought a cutter block for my electric shaver (which keeps me looking youthful).
(I am not a Reminton man, I am a Braun guy!)
It took me ten minutes to find the SHAVING PRODUCTS. Each person working there was very nice but would just DIRECT ME TO... ANOTHER WAL-MART EMPLOYEE!
I had to pee really bad and went into the WAL-MART restroom and... well they should stock up on the GLADE ROOM FRESHNERS 'INSIDE' THE RESTROOMS!
Yes, someone (or some animal/savage beast went potty ALL OVER the WAL-MART bathroom).
Needless to say... I did not attempt to spend more than 3 seconds of my life in the WAL-MART restroom and 'HELD MY PEE'.
So I purchased my cutter block shaver thing (rip off), and as I left... of course... the alarm goes off and this little lady (not the WAL-MART 'GREETER', BUT RATHER THE WAL-MART 'SEE YA LATER' PERSON, checked my bags and my receipt so carefully that I wished our HOME LAND SECURITY could be as good.
Upon passing INSPECTION I headed to the exit, the ALARMS WENT OFF AGAIN (VERY LOUD THIS TIME) and continued to walk out with my head up and bladder full to capacity.

Time for bed! I am a bit tired. I worked very hard today at work (early in, early out!)
Sinuses are acting up just a tad.
Cleaned my apartment tonight and made my new laptop into a mini desktop!
I connected my keyboard to it. Makes things easier for me, honest and they way I had my laptop before would cause a stiff neck.

I was golfing with Tony Soprano at the Derryfield Country Club in Manchester, NH. We were driving in a blue Jeep (with the top down) instead of a golf cart.
Suddenly we were mini-golfing and Pam Anderson was working there selling sandwiches and hot dogs, and then she turned into Charlie McArthy (the dummy). Tony and I started smoking cigars. The high school marching band's bus was parked by the 18th hole (mini golf) and they were doing 'warm-up exercises'. Tony missed his putt and I made mine.
Jimmy Rogers, from NBC Sports interviewed me for winning. He was wearing a big baseball cap that was twice the size of his head and the brim of the cap was like a duck's bill. I towered over Jimmy Robert's and in an act of kindness gave him the keys to my red mop-ed cycle.

Today I went to my local CVS to get 1 hour photo!
after an hour and a half I went back and they said, "Your photos aren't ready. They should be ready in another 40 minutes to an hour."

Do/Should I get a discount on my fee? I don't know, this is my first time doing this and... they didn't come through.

I woke up and went to my local pub/restaurant for dinner (a great cheeseburger!).
It was packed bacause of the basketball games.
Neiko ("please don't forget my cheese sticks ever again") was a kind gentleman and gave me his seat at the bar.
Sir Walter, Ed Sr. (Pat), Walt's Brother, Moran, Rich (the Duke), Ed (Mike C.) were among the regulars present. St. John's Pat (another class act), was also there. I nursed my drink of choice (Sprite) for about an hour and headed home early.

Comedian takes his act from small town to big city to Hoboken

Like many aspiring actors and comedians before him, Adam Wade, 28, left his small-town home to try his luck in the big city. He started as an NBC page, brushing elbows with Regis Philbin and Tom Brokaw, and has since nabbed some camera time on Saturday Night Live and Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
Born and raised in New Hampshire, Wade has eased his big city blues by living in Hoboken for the past year. "I have been able to get a fan base in Hoboken," said Wade. "It's a great community, people are doing different things, and people are willing to watch [my shows]." Wade owes his popularity in Hoboken to the young crowd that gets out and watches his show Monday nights at O' Donoghues on First in Hoboken.
In March, Wade performed at Rodeo Ristra Lounge on Washington Street in Hoboken, and in the past performed at renowned New York clubs, like Carolines, 'Eating it' at Luna Lounge and the Gotham Comedy Club. "He's really the most original comedian since Jerry Seinfeld, because his style of comedy is really refreshing," said Jonathan Accarino, who met Wade at NBC. "His comedy stories have elements of truth that come from his real life experience, which make his comedy real and unique."
Aside from sharing a first name and home state, Wade is often compared to Adam Sandler for his personal and musical comedy.
Wade said it is a compliment to be compared to such a successful comedian like Sandler. But the comedian that gave him his first break was Colin Quinn.
"[Quinn] actually wanted to see a tape of mine. It was a very kind gesture and he watched the tape and went over it with me in detail," Wade said. "For someone in his position and level of experience, this was priceless."
A graduate of Keene State College in New Hampshire, Wade first came to New York on an internship with 20th Century Fox. He paid the rent waiting tables at Virgil's Barbeque in Times Square where he worked for eight months. "I had no contacts when I got here," said Wade. "[The staff at Virgil's was] my first family in New York."
Wade was driven to move to New Jersey by a co-worker at Virgil's who lived in Fairview. Wade lived in Fairview for four years before moving to Hoboken.
"Hoboken is perfect for a small-town person like myself," said Wade, who enjoys the mom and pop businesses and running into the same people everyday. Hoboken is not just a place to live, but an inspiration for new material. In his latest show at Carolines, Wade shared his experience of living in a basement apartment in Hoboken and dating. His new Hoboken material focuses on people's unwillingness to curb their dogs during the snow-filled months. "I hope they enforce the dog curbing. I ruined two pair of sneakers," said Wade.
Currently Wade is working in TV production for Comedy Central's Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn and freelancing for Late Night with Conan O'Brien, but he is seeking something more creative for the future. His goal is to turn his avocation of acting, writing and comedy into his vocation.
Wade has managed, however, to step from behind the camera with a part in Dana Carvey's sketch for the church lady on Saturday Night Live, which used rapper Eminem's video motif of multiple "Real Slim Shadys." Wade was one of the "real" church ladies. "Everybody looked the same, but I tripped over a desk, so my parents could pick me out," said Wade smiling. "It was a non-speaking part, but I was right in front." But now, he has another gimmick to help him stand out. The Wade t-shirt is his trademark and he wears it on stage for self-promotion. He started wearing a t-shirt with Wade in large black letters on it about six months ago. Because there are so many comedians out there, Wade figured the t-shirt would help him stand out.
"People in New York and Hoboken wear them," said Wade proudly calling it the "Wade Movement." The movement has even gone as far as the Comedy Central casting crew, who also wear Wade's t-shirt. Aside from humorous, Wade is also very modest, which is something he takes very seriously. As an NBC page, he always admired the celebrities who took the time to give him a word of advice. Working as a page allowed Wade to meet a number of celebrities, as he worked greeting them at the door. He said people like Regis Philbin, Steve Martin, Henry Winkler and Larry David stood out, because they were genuinely nice. "You don't have to be a jerk to be successful. I admire something like that," said Wade.
But his storytelling skill is not something he picked up from the big boys in showbiz, but from his father. Wade's father - a middle school principal and Lt. Colonel in the army - always had humorous stories to tell.
Another source of inspiration for Wade are his high school years in New Hampshire, which have resulted in a number of skits, including his most recent one at Rodeo Ristra called "Pengiun" - a musical, featuring poetry and storytelling.
"Everybody in high school was cocky, I didn't want to be like that, so I started walking with my head down like a penguin," said Wade. "People called me penguin boy, it bothered me, but in college I embraced it as being myself."
This idea of individuality sets the tone for Wade's show, which focuses on how he took pride in being Adam Wade and not everyone else.
"He's a really endearing character whose comedy is all about his life," said Jeremy Gould, set coordinator for Tough Crowd. "His comedy is him being him, but just a more amplified version of him." Wade's advice to other comedians is to get up on stage as much as possible.
"It's almost like surfing. To see if you can keep [the laughter] going," said Wade. "It's making personal things universal."
Wade is now working on three projects, which include Penguin, Visions of Melanie - an autobiographical look at his last year living in New Hampshire and first years in New York and Wade Wildcard Wednesday - that's about the time he got to dictate what his whole office ate for Wednesday lunch at Comedy Central's Tough Crow.
His next show is on April 5 at 8:45 p.m. at Acme Underground, 9 Great Jones St., NY.

'The Wade Movement'
Comedian takes his act from small town to big city to Hoboken

Like many aspiring actors and comedians before him, Adam Wade, 28, left his small-town home to try his luck in the big city. He started as an NBC page, brushing elbows with Regis Philbin and Tom Brokaw, and has since nabbed some camera time on Saturday Night Live and Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
Born and raised in New Hampshire, Wade has eased his big city blues by living in Hoboken for the past year. "I have been able to get a fan base in Hoboken," said Wade. "It's a great community, people are doing different things, and people are willing to watch [my shows]." Wade owes his popularity in Hoboken to the young crowd that gets out and watches his show Monday nights at O' Donoghues on First in Hoboken.
In March, Wade performed at Rodeo Ristra Lounge on Washington Street in Hoboken, and in the past performed at renowned New York clubs, like Carolines, 'Eating it' at Luna Lounge and the Gotham Comedy Club. "He's really the most original comedian since Jerry Seinfeld, because his style of comedy is really refreshing," said Jonathan Accarino, who met Wade at NBC. "His comedy stories have elements of truth that come from his real life experience, which make his comedy real and unique."
Aside from sharing a first name and home state, Wade is often compared to Adam Sandler for his personal and musical comedy.
Wade said it is a compliment to be compared to such a successful comedian like Sandler. But the comedian that gave him his first break was Colin Quinn.
"[Quinn] actually wanted to see a tape of mine. It was a very kind gesture and he watched the tape and went over it with me in detail," Wade said. "For someone in his position and level of experience, this was priceless."
A graduate of Keene State College in New Hampshire, Wade first came to New York on an internship with 20th Century Fox. He paid the rent waiting tables at Virgil's Barbeque in Times Square where he worked for eight months. "I had no contacts when I got here," said Wade. "[The staff at Virgil's was] my first family in New York."
Wade was driven to move to New Jersey by a co-worker at Virgil's who lived in Fairview. Wade lived in Fairview for four years before moving to Hoboken.
"Hoboken is perfect for a small-town person like myself," said Wade, who enjoys the mom and pop businesses and running into the same people everyday. Hoboken is not just a place to live, but an inspiration for new material. In his latest show at Carolines, Wade shared his experience of living in a basement apartment in Hoboken and dating. His new Hoboken material focuses on people's unwillingness to curb their dogs during the snow-filled months. "I hope they enforce the dog curbing. I ruined two pair of sneakers," said Wade.
Currently Wade is working in TV production for Comedy Central's Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn and freelancing for Late Night with Conan O'Brien, but he is seeking something more creative for the future. His goal is to turn his avocation of acting, writing and comedy into his vocation.
Wade has managed, however, to step from behind the camera with a part in Dana Carvey's sketch for the church lady on Saturday Night Live, which used rapper Eminem's video motif of multiple "Real Slim Shadys." Wade was one of the "real" church ladies. "Everybody looked the same, but I tripped over a desk, so my parents could pick me out," said Wade smiling. "It was a non-speaking part, but I was right in front." But now, he has another gimmick to help him stand out. The Wade t-shirt is his trademark and he wears it on stage for self-promotion. He started wearing a t-shirt with Wade in large black letters on it about six months ago. Because there are so many comedians out there, Wade figured the t-shirt would help him stand out.
"People in New York and Hoboken wear them," said Wade proudly calling it the "Wade Movement." The movement has even gone as far as the Comedy Central casting crew, who also wear Wade's t-shirt.
