HOBOKEN LUNCH WITH THE BOYS
Last week, my friends EZ and Bader came over to Hoboken for the day.
First off we hit Piccolo's for some steak sandwiches.
Bader sends a TEXT MESSAGE: "This steak sandwich is good."
EZ doesn't take it easy with his lunch!
And neither do I.
After eating we headed to the the spot where Frank Sinatra was born/grew up/first house. The boys seemed very excited to be there.
All in all, we had a great day! It's always a treat, WHEN YOU'RE IN HOBOKEN!

WHAT'S NEW?
Not much here, just trying to make this the best site it can be!
WADE'S BIRTHDAY WEEKEND/MONDAY RECAP
A big night of Benny's Pizza Saturday started the celebration.
Here Ed Shirak Sr. (aka Mike C., eats his Roni slice
in front of two hotties at our table).
Meanwhile Moran (the person I know who's had the most 'birthdays') and
Sir Walter enjoy the moment,
...while Bernie reflects on sitting next to the birthday
boy himself.
Monday's birthday lunch with Wilki was something special.
We hit the Brass Rail in Hoboken. Here Wilki stares at
the smallest crabcake she's ever seen.
Meanwhile, I try not to scream as a bumble bee
circles me while I eat my Caesar Salad.
Just desserts:Wilki also took me to Cold Stone for a
very expensive ice cream.
SURPRISE BIRTHDAY STUFF:
And last night at the Farside with Wilki, Jonny and Andy...
and guess who else showed up?
the Enforcer (Sir Walt's Brother Jeff) showed up with ShagMoney!!!!
... ShagMoney's wife was also in the house (thanks for the shot, sorry I nursed it).
The Enforcer went to the local deli to get my birthday (coffee) cake.
Wow! What a great birthday indeed.
And Yes, the Red Sox beat the Yanks!

EXCITEMENT AT FIORE'S IN HOBOKEN!
I went to Fiore's Deli in Hoboken, early this morning for my Italian Tuna sandwich (on special every Friday). Now that the movie is highlighted and linked on comedy.aol.com I wondered if things would be different going there. But to show you how awesome they are, nothing had changed. Things were the same and I am sure when I eat the I.T. for lunch it will taste the same (delicious).Kudos Fiore's.
Also:
Before I went to Fiore's this morning, I had to drop off a package (for Lauren) in the mail. I was walking in the opposite direction of Fiore's and Vinny (one of Fiore's Finest), drove by me in his car and yelled, "Where are you going? Fiore's is the other way."
How can you not love these guys?!!!!

I hit Biggie's Clam Bar in Hoboken today for an early lunch. As always it was AWESOME!Main course of fries, cheesburger and hot dog (with bottled water)

DRUM STICKS A LA WADE
Yes, I got this dish I have been cooking in the old WADE Toaster Oven.
Drumsitcks (about 6)
Stingbeans
Lemon Juice (4 oz)
Oregano (3 oz or so)
Couple teaspoons of butter
Bake 375 for about 1 hour and 20 minutes
ENJOY!
(PS you can dip bread in the lemon, butter, oregano juice too - get some wheat pita bread for that - especially if you are on a diet.)
(PPS I have never had formal cooking training)

Yesterday, I was mentioning my boy Tony, the Ice Cream Man and a dialog ensued in the 'comment section.'The reason why I am moving it from the comment section to a main post is to show you what a class act/Man of the People Ed Shirak (aka Mike C) is.
Folks, listen to the obstacles [all true] that Tony has to deal with being an Ice Cream man in Hoboken. Ed S (aka Mike C.) defends him well.

Tony [ICE CREAM MAN] has a right to complain... first they said he couldn't play the goofy Ice cream truck music past dusk... then they complained about pollution due to his truck idling when he's serving customers...lunatics... these are probably the same peeps who don't pick up after Fido after he's dropped a spike right in front of house... but the exhaust from the Ice Cream truck is disgusting....Ass clowns....So I'm giving my boy Tony a pass.. he can gripe all he wants... and if we're lucky, he'll back over Fido after his next stop.

DINNER WITH COUSIN JOHN!
Last night I was lucky enough to eat with COUSIN JOHN. It was a fun time as always. We hit BaHa (I had a steak dish and ginger ale).

Cousin John called me a 'savage' 15 times while I ate the nachoes.
