MY SUPERMAN VIDEO BRINGS JOY!

I put up this Superman movie on Youtube.com and it got trashed by the Youtube community.
Tonight at the Rejection Show, I played it for an audience and they seemed to like it.

Thanks crowd, I feel much better now.

Watch it here (again).

Big shout outs to
Teddy, Bernie, Brock, Rebecca, Sammy, Big Tom, Big Tom's Roommate, EZ, Bader, HEYman, and the other Bernie for coming to the shows the past two nights.

SACRILEGE AT THE ST. ANN'S FESTIVAL

The Hoboken St. Ann's Festival is going on. And it's been great.
Saturday night I went with a bunch of friends. I was really looking forward to a sausage hoagie. I got in line and waited, I knew it was going to be worth the wait... until...

"That will be 7 Dollars!"

I couldn't believe it. 7 dollars for a 4 inch hoagie? It was 5 dollars two years ago. This was SACRILEGE AT IT'S FINEST! The St Ann's sausage people ought to be VERY embarrassed.

PS Bravo to the beer tent for keeping the beers at $4!
-----------------
Sacrilege
(Lat. sacrilegium, robbing a temple, from sacer, sacred, and legere, to purloin.)
Sacrilege is in general the violation or injurious treatment of a sacred object. In a less proper sense any transgression against the virtue of religion would be a sacrilege.

Kudos to Boston.com's Eric Wilbur for mentioning the Ode to Hazel Mae video.

WADE'S BOSS PUTS WADE'S DIET IN JEOPARDY

Doug, my boss at NBC SPORTS, has really done it this time.

He told me about Starbucks' Java Chip Ice Cream (not fat free) and I am hooked.

It is very, very good! And very, very dangerous to the WADE diet.

Here's a photo of Doug (on the left) with his Wade Shirt.

The great John S. is the guy on the right, I love talking about food with John.

RICHARDSON ROCKS LAST NIGHT'S DEADWOOD

Richardson was all over DEADWOOD last night and did an awesome job in every scene he was in. He stood toe to toe with Hearst and didn't act any different. He was the same old lovable Richardson. Bravo Richardson!

WADE'S FAVORITE MUSIC VIDEO - EVER!

The Kinks
"Come Dancing"

Not only is it a cool song, I love the 'actual story' in the video. My favorite part of the video is at the end when the old buck is in the balcony watching the band, he's still around. Still bitter, still dreaming of those early years.

CLASSIC!

EXCLUSIVE HAZEL MAE PHOTO LEAKED ONTO WEB

I refuse to confirm or deny this is a photo of NESN SPORTSDESK'S HAZEL MAE and myself at a RED SOX game.

Once again...I have no comment (besides the fact that it is a very nice photo).

A REAL MAN'S MOVIE: NORTH DALLAS 40

FRIEND OF ADAMWADE.COM, Cousin John, loves his Man's Movies. In a new series of posts, Cousin John will talk about some of these classics.

A REAL MAN'S MOVIE (not a chick flick by any means):

North Dallas Forty

PLOT (imdb) : A semi-fictional account of life as a professional Football (American-style) player. Loosely based on the Dallas Cowboys team of the early 1970s.

WHAT Cousin John SAYS:
Many of the 80's, 90's and 2000's football movies pay homage to this man's movie classic. Lotta partying, lotta drugs (pill popping and shots), lotta men being men, and in the end... THE MAN STICKS IT TO NICK NOTLE'S character Super Phil Elliot.

North Dallas Forty is a MUST SEE that will never be on LIFETIME's program schedule.

Drink a non-soda beverage like ginger ale when watching it. Yes, I said it. Ginger ale is not a soda. And this movie is not a chick flick.

NEXT WEEK:
Escape from Alcatraz

R.I.P. SYD!

Syd Barrett, an enigmatic figure in rock history as the founding frontman of Pink Floyd and a young drug casualty who was exiled from the band on the brink of its staggering stardom, died Friday after years in seclusion. He was 60. Barrett died of complications from diabetes, according to news reports in London.

My dad got me into Pink Floyd (no joke). When I was in junior high, he bought a bunch of Pink Floyd albums and would listen to them when he worked out. I was always intrigued by Barrett and what happened to him (left the band/LSD/burned-out star turned recluse who loved working in his little garden).

When I had my radio show in college I played this Syd Barrett song from his solo career quite often. Here are the lyrics:

Baby Lemonade (Barrett) 4:10
In the sad town cold iron hands clap the party of clowns outside rain falls in gray far away please, please, Baby Lemonade In the evening sun going down when the earth streams in, in the morning send a cage through the post make your name like a ghost please, please, Baby Lemonade I'm screaming, I met you this way you're nice to me like ice in the clock they sent through a washing machine come around, make it soon, so alone... please, please, Baby Lemonade In the sad town cold iron hands clap the party of clowns outside rain falls in gray far away please, please, Baby Lemonade In the evening sun going down when the earth streams in, in the morning send a cage through the post make your name like a ghost please, please, Baby Lemonade

NJ TRANSIT BUS ALERT #126

NOTE THE HOBKENITES:
They moved the gate for the 126 bus after 10pm, it's still up on the 3rd floor but it's a few gates over to the right now. I asked a NJ Transit worker last night why there wasn't a CLEARLY VISIBLE sign anywhere because I ALMOST GOT ON THE BUS TO NORTH BERGEN (that is now at the old gate) and the guy was a total JERK TO ME!

Keep up the great work NJ TRANSIT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

At least you have 'some' nice guys driving the buses (see photo).

MY DAD AND COUSIN GREG LOVE RICHARDSON!

Yes, Richardson, the cook on DEADWOOD has a strong fan-base in the WADE FAMILY!

I really like Richardson and I think his acting is quite impressive, he steals every scene he's in.
I personally would rather have a sitdown lunch with him over someone like Brad Pitt.

Now, I realize not everybody is a DEADWOOD fan, so here's a few pix of Richardson in action.

Enjoy!

SO LONG AFL ON NBC SPORTS!

I worked on the AFL on NBC studio show on and off for the last 3 years, though I am far from a huge AFL fan, I really enjoyed working the games and getting to chat with the likes of:

GLENN PARKER
and
CHARLES DAVIS

APnews:
NBC Sports and the Arena Football League (AFL) have parted ways amicably as both organizations did not reach an agreement to extend their broadcasting contract. The AFL will begin immediate talks with other entities to find a new broadcasting home.
