KUDOS ALAN ARKIN
Congrats to Alan Arkin on winning the Best Supporting Actor Oscar.
I rode the N train alongside Arkin in 1998 immediately following the Halloween Parade. It was an overcrowded subway train and he was right there with a woman (who must have been his wife), just like a REAL NEW YORKER!
I couldn't stop looking at him (I don't think anybody else noticed him).
And I quietly mumbled "Day-oooo! Daaaaay - O!"
He smirked, and I smirked back. He got off at 24th Street.

WEIRD DREAM - NO MORE SNICKER BARS BEFORE BED
I HAD A DREAM TWO NIGHTS AGO THAT I GOT IN A FIGHT WITH... TOM PETTY
See we were younger (like in high school I'd say) and we didn't like each other. We were in this field 'OUTSIDERS' -style and bunch of high schoolers were all there, like in a circle. We start fighting... a tough battle, but I won.
Then I got over to him, he's hunched over and stuff in his bloody blue flannel shirt and I say, "Hey man. That's it. The fighting is over. Let's be pals."
But he wouldn't shake my hand, he says, "We'll never be friends, NEVER!"
Then I just sort of feel bad. I mean, I kicked his butt and all, but...

HOBOKEN'S NEW BUTCHER SHOP IS AWESOME
I love this place!
Fitzgibbon's Butcher Shop on 14th and Hudson St. is awesome!
I went by there this evening and got some chicken and steaks.
The prices are great and the service is top notch.
BTW: the man working there (in this photo I took) name is Stevie.
Check it out when you can.
