The time has come for a rallying of the troops- or should we say- a Fundraiser for Stuckey and Murray’s month long performance at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. Stuckey and Murray and the Short and Curly Band are Playing at the Bowery Poetry Club Thursday July 5th from 8-10pm. We’ll have guest comedians and a slew of new songs. Since we are representing America overseas if you do not support us- you are letting down your country (technically). Do the right thing. It should be a fun night. I've just been quite perplexed to be honest with you about what happened with WWE Wrestler Chris Benoit, who killed his wife and seven year old son and then himself this past weekend.

I'm more of an old school wrestling fan, but do watch it from time to time and enjoy the comedic storylines the WWE frequently does. This is a harsh blow to pro wrestling and it will have massive impact with its core audience (which is family friendly).

Tomorrow, June 28th, Vince McMahon, the genius behind the WWE will be interviewed in an exclusive with the Today Show (between 7-10am). I'm interested in his answers regarding Beniot, the 'tribute' WWE did for him last Monday night on RAW and how steroids have contributed to the deaths of other WWE stars like Rick Rude, Mr. Perfect and Flyin' Brian.

Tomorrow, back to business, but today...

Doctor Detroit was a very under rated comedy in the 80s.

My brother and I were big fans of this movie back in the early HBO days.

Failing to clean up after your pet in Hoboken will land you in the online DOG HOUSE

HOBOKEN - The names of dog owners who neglect to clean up after their pooches will now be mud in the Mile Square City.

The nine-member City Council voted unanimously last night to amend an ordinance to allow the city to post the names of pet owners who are cited for not cleaning up after their dogs on the city Web site -www.hobokennj.org - for two weeks.

The amendment stiffens fines for violations for failing to scoop up poop from a minimum of $100 to a maximum of $2,000 - allowing fines to double for second-time offenders.

Currently there is no minimum and the ceiling is $1,000.

Council members said the increase in fines is necessary because dog mess - which they say disrespects and risks the health of Hoboken residents - is becoming more of a problem.

"I think it's a great step forward," said City Councilman Michael Russo. "We need to hold people accountable for their actions. The vast majority of dog owners are always responsible, but there are a select few who continually ignore the rules."

Councilwoman Theresa LaBruno said she is uncomfortable with the idea of publishing the names online when the city does not do that for more serious offenses, but she voted for it anyway.

$1.25 sugar donuts at Starbucks!
I finally tried one of these today and guess what?
It tasted a bit stale than the same type of donut you can get at Dunkins for 85 cents.

Now to me, since Starbucks has taken over DD as my morning coffee, what's 40 cents, as long as I get it all at one stop. Well, it could've been a little fresher.

Get it together Starbucks (in NYC *)!

*The Hoboken Starbucks on 12th street has fresh donuts FYI.

I know what some are you thinking, 'Wade, I thought you said no more donuts!' Yes, But seriously, I haven't had a donut in a few months --- it was time to treat myself!

NYSC HOBOKEN UPDATE:
Hoboken's uptown NYSC Gym now carries 'YES' the home of the Yankees, but NOT SNY, home of the Mets. I can't believe there hasn't been a public outcry!

Still no ESPN 2, or ESPN News.

BTW They still have 2 channels of CSPAN.
